Recently, I completed the management of a program to design, develop, certify and manufacture 3 Next Generation AirTankers based on the modification of a British Aerospace RJ85 Regional Jet.
The 2.5 year program involved over 150 team members operating in 5 time zones and 3 countries. An extremely complex program with numerous challenges and set-backs, but most rewarding at the same time.
The aircraft began the fight against wildland fire in the USA in July, 2014.
Conair is the world’s largest aerial firefighting company, head-quartered in Abbotsford, B.C.
